High School

Though few people know her name, Henrietta Mears spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.  Near- sighted and nearly blind, Ms. Mears was a passionate Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Church in Hollywood, CA.

Though you might not know her name, you know many of her students and their work--Bill & Vonette Bright (Campus Crusade for Christ), Jim Rayburn (Young Life), Dale Bruner (Bible Commentator), Richard Halverson (US Senate Chaplain), and Billy Graham (Billy Graham Crusades).

Sunday School is more than information, it is formation.  St. Francis strives to shape young men and women to become life long followers of Jesus and committed to His church and mission in the world.
